Marketing and Communications Officer

£30,305 - £33,146 FTE | Part-time 3 days per week | Based at our offices in Clapham, near Settle, with a mix of office and home working and travel across the Yorkshire Dales National Park and surrounding areas.

At Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust (YDMT), we believe in doing big things, with heart, to help protect the stunning landscapes, people and wildlife of the Yorkshire Dales. We make a lasting impact through our work, planting 1.6 million trees, safeguarding over 850 hectares of wildflower meadows and inspiring others to care for this beautiful part of the world. Now, we’re looking for someone to join our small but mighty team and help amplify our message even further.

Great marketing and communications is pivotal to YDMT’s continued success. We tell the stories of the people, places, and wildlife that we work with, making sure our supporters, partners, and the wider public understand why our mission is so vital. We believe that nature and its protection should matter to everyone. So how do we make sure we reach and inspire even more people to get involved? That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for someone who isn’t just about the transactional side of marketing, although of course, you'll need to be organised, creative, and analytical. We’re looking for someone with a real passion for our cause, who brings fresh ideas, energy, and creativity to the table.

You’ll need to be a team player with a proactive, can-do attitude, as well as the ability to work independently to get things done. The perfect candidate will understand the importance of engaging and nurturing our supporters while also looking for innovative ways to expand our reach. You’ll have excellent writing skills, experience of delivering successful marketing campaigns, and the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Underpinning all of this is your ability to work within our culture – which means sharing our values of being creative, caring, honest and enabling.

If you’re ready to help us tell our story, engage our supporters, and raise vital funds for our work, we’d love to hear from you.
