About the course

This one-day course offers participants an opportunity to create an illustrative collage that captures a local building/feature. It aims to inspire attendees to look more closely and create interpretations of the rich local architecture of this town.

The tutor will demonstrate her techniques step by step to help you create your own unique work. The day will include the photographing and/or sketching of aspects of Settle within the vicinity of The Folly (This can be modified to interior architectural aspects of The Folly if the weather is inclement). Pieces can be representational or abstract with an emphasis on the architectural features captured. Participants will then be guided in the use of collage techniques to create a finished piece (approx. A5/A4 in size). Some experience of drawing/sketching would be an advantage

About the tutor
