Ethne's Story
I’ve been dedicating trees for many years now for lots of different reasons. I’ve dedicated trees to commemorate family members who have passed away. Many of my family were born and bred in the Yorkshire Dales, so it seems right to put a little something back.
The birth of my grandsons prompted me to dedicate a tree to celebrate their baptisms. I hope that my grandchildren will read their tree dedication cards long in the future and remember their family roots in Yorkshire and feel moved to visit!
More recently we organised a friend's 70th birthday celebration and purchased a copse (three trees) as a group gift for 'a man who has everything'. Although not from Yorkshire he has appreciated the flora and fauna of the Dales every week, often from his bicycle seat!
