Propagating wildflowers

Learn how to collect and propagate your own wildflowers from seed in this half day course.

About the course

If you are interested in growing wildflowers, or creating your own wildflower patch or meadow this course will give you all the skills required to grow your own wildflowers from seed.
The course will cover the following topics:

  • Basic identification of common wildflowers
  • Seed collection, cleaning and storage
  • Propagation of small and large seeds
  • Sowing seeds into existing grassland
  • Plug planting
  • Seed collection ethics
  • Equipment and requirements.

Please bring appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear. Lunch is provided as part of this course, so please let us know if you have any dietary requirements when you book.
Broadrake is a beautiful but remote location. Please let us know of any medical conditions you have and ensure you bring your medication with you.
