Our impact in 2025-26
The Yorkshire Dales has a distinctive character, landscape and heritage that inspires millions of people. It is also a landscape that is evolving and ever changing, with a vital role to play in tackling the climate emergency.
Our love for the Yorkshire Dales drives everything we do - bringing people together to care for, enhance and champion the unique qualities of this special place. In 2025-26 we continued to do that through a range of diverse and inspirational projects that help to create habitats for our wildlife, tackle climate change and connect people to nature. In the first year of our Three Year Strategy we made progress towards some ambitious targets, supported by strong partnerships and enabling others to deliver with us.
Our annual impact report is an opportunity to reflect on achievements and challenges over the past year and put the foundations in place for a year of action ahead. We recognise there are areas where we can do better, where we need a bigger and a more joined up approach to tackle the challenges facing our area. That’s why we will continue to build partnerships that bring a diverse range of people together to get stuff done for the Dales.
