What is Green Guardians all about?

Green Guardians provides inspirational experiences and practical skills to young people who would not usually get the opportunity to connect with nature.

It gives youth and community groups the chance to explore the Yorkshire Dales, take part in fun activities, practical conservation work and do something positive for the environment.

Activities

Activities are designed to suit a groups interests and needs. They offer a fresh environment for young people to learn new skills, make friends and even clock up volunteer hours to add to their CV. Longer term we can work together towards a John Muir or vInspired award. Here are a few of the activities we can offer:

  • Navigation & map skills
  • Making bird and bug boxes
  • Citizenship Science
  • Footpath laying
  • Tree maintenance
  • Bushcraft
  • Wildflower meadow restoration
