About the course
The scythe is a modern, lightweight and simple tool which will enable you to manage vegetation where machinery is not possible or unsuitable. Course leader Steve Tomlin has over 10 years experience of mowing and over 6 years of teaching experience. This training course will enable you to learn the necessary skills under expert tuition and will leave you confident to scythe efficiently and safely.
Steve Tomlin first learnt to scythe in the Pyrenees in 2001 and was instantly hooked! He is a founding member and training coordinator for the Scythe Association and has spent time in Europe working with scythe experts. In addition to running courses in mowing and peening, Steve is also an instructor for new scythe teachers and is currently recognised as the leading scythe teacher in the UK and author of the book ‘Learn to Scythe’.
