Tree planting day

02 March 2019

Join Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust to plant a variety of native broadleaf trees and help create a new woodland in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.

Join us to help expand the woodland cover in Bishopdale by planting a few young trees.

It’s a chance to get hands-on and take part in practical conservation in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. With your help, we aim to plant 250 native trees, including rowan, alder, scots pine, downy birch, hazel, aspen and field maple.

Don’t worry; it won’t be a hard day’s labour! Simply a chance to get out in the countryside, learn a little about trees and woodland creation, and get involved.

There will also be the chance to dedicate the tree(s) that you plant on the day – it is a special way to remember a loved one, celebrate an anniversary or occasion, or simply to leave your mark on the landscape.

Date: Sat 2 March 2019
Time: YDMT staff will be on site from 10.30am until 3.30pm to welcome you and provide full tree planting instructions. You are welcome to join us at your leisure for up to an hour, or longer if you wish, but please arrive no later than 2.30pm.
Location: Near Thoralby, Bishopdale. Full details to be provided upon booking.
Booking Essential: Call us on 015242 51002 or email info@ydmt.org
