Interact
Interact is a family owned and managed business, operating from their headquarters in West Yorkshire since 1992. As a specialist in the automotive sector for over 25 years they have carried out over 2,000 car showroom refurbishments for some of the world’s largest automotive brands, creating uplifting interiors for everyone, throughout the UK.
In more recent years, the business has been increasingly focused on sustainable work practices, with their Act Initiative designed to leave a positive legacy on the environment and communities they live and work in.
YDMT’s First Foundation Partner
Our partnership began in 2021, with Interact donating 0.5% (net of VAT) revenue from every job completed. The goal was to enable the planting of 2,025 trees by 2025. The success of our partnership and business growth resulted in this target being smashed in 2023!
Following this success, in 2024 Interact became YDMT's first ever Foundation Partner, providing invaluable unrestricted funding that is enabling the delivery of work across all our charitable aims, to support people, landscape and wildlife. We’re so grateful for their trust and flexibility which will allow us the freedom to best use our experience, skills and knowledge to deliver the greatest possible impacts for the communities we serve.
In recent years, flexible funding has allowed us to:
- Employ YDMT trainees - providing young people with rural career opportunities in the environmental sector.
- Launch our Woodland Management programme - ensuring the trees we help to plant deliver maximum benefits for people and nature.
- Expand our Woodland Wellbeing work - connecting young people who face disadvantage with nature, helping to tackle the mental health crisis amongst children.
What our partners say
"Interact have been proud to partner with YDMT since 2021, and to support the exceptional woodland creation work that their teams carry out throughout the region. More recently, we have become aware of the depth, breadth and scope of YDMT’s impact outside of woodland creation, including community projects and apprenticeships. We are delighted to give YDMT autonomy to allocate our donations to their projects as benefits them most and we look forward to continuing our partnership over the next 3 years."
